The Eleventh National Cyber Safety and Security Standards Summit ’19 (XI Edition) is organized by the National Cyber Safety and Security Standards in association with Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India, and Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, Anna University and IIT Madras at Vivekananda Auditorium, Anna University, Guindy, Chennai.

The recent development of India economy attracts the attention of developed countries and act like a Rival to their Leading positions. This Intern made them to lay the possible ways to inhibit the growth of India. In the past, cyber attacks have been mostly initiated from countries such as the US, Turkey, China, Brazil, Pakistan, Algeria, Turkey, Europe and the UAE. With the growing adoption of internet and Smartphone, India has emerged as one of the most favorite countries among cyber criminals, said the study.

India has the second largest number of internet users in the world after China. The total number of internet users by the end of 2014 has been pegged at 302 million. With ever increasing number of net users, there has also been marked surge in the cyber crime rate in the country. India's registered cyber crime leapt 350% in 3 years and the legal system is struggling to cope with more and more law-breakers exploiting the anonymity of the internet. The cyber crimes have assumed serious proportions and have started posing a threat to the society and the national security.

The need of the hour is to educate the masses the adverse impact of the crime in the Society and the steps to be taken to counter the same unitedly. Due to this, the National Cyber Safety and Security Standards in association with various organizations have taken visionary initiatives to curb and enervate the notoriously spreading cyber threats from various directions and dimensions to safeguard the Nation from the current threats in the Cyberspace towards National Security.

The National Cyber Safety and Security Standards Summit ’19 (XI Edition) seeks to change the paradigm of how we look at digital space and security, critically assessing cyber security's impact on business operations and its security implications. Also this summit explores the boundaries of cyber security and also provides the best practices to protect our Digital Critical Infrastructure where the sensitivity of the data plays a very vital role.
